The broad floral collar, called 'wesekh' in ancient Egyptian, was not only placed on the body of the deceased but also painted on sarcophagi as protection for eternity. On the shoulders of this collar, you see two falcon heads – the fasteners that refer to the sun god Horachte or the death god Sokar. Such collars were specially intended for the dead and symbolized the transition to the divine.

Every layer of the collar is carefully knitted: the geometric patterns, the floral motifs in red, blue, and green, and the central red solar disk.
